Claiborne Animal Shelter

Volunteer

These volunteers donated their Saturday to the Claiborne Shelter to sell t-shirts at Taz's BP on Highway 33. Thanks to Max, for letting us set up shop during your Customer Appreciation Day!

We'd also like to thank the folks who bought t-shirts, made a donation, or stopped by to chat and sign our petition in support of an animal shelter and legally enforced animal control in Claiborne County.

The most important thing you or your group can do to help the shelter right now is to raise money.

If you have a fundraising idea, run with it!

Have a bake sale, or a blanket/towel drive, or a dog/cat food drive, or a dog wash, or a campaign to recycle aluminum cans. Anything you can do to keep this project moving along is a gift to this community!

Call 423-626-2686 to arrange to drop off your group's donation.

Students from St. Lawerence University in Upstate New York used their spring break to help Claiborne County. They drove 15 hours to work on a local Habitat for Humanity house and spent a morning helping to install plumbing at the shelter.

Donating money, goods, services, or your time, is all volunteering in our book.

  • Organize a shelter fundraiser at your school, church, or organization and donate the proceeds to the shelter.
  • Buy a shelter t-shirt and wear it.
  • Tell people about us, word of mouth is a powerful tool for spreading the word about this cause!
  • Support our fundraisers by attending them
  • Have you got a unique skill that you think we can use to raise money? Well, let us know!
Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and it's fun!

Hey, wait a minute... are you shy about volunteering because you don't know anyone? Please don't let that hold you back. After all, you'll only be a stranger until the first hello.
