Get Your Dog Groomed and Help the Shelter
A professional dog groomer, Julie Cowell, has opened up shop at the shelter. Not only will she provide a much-needed service for the community, we'll get 20% of each grooming fee. Julie has over 20 years experience and offers a simple bath (all grooming includes ears, nails, and glands) to flea and tick treatment to a show-quality cut.
Fantastic!
The grooming will be done on Tuesday and Thursday to start but we will gladly add additional days if there is enough demand. For a list of services and fees, please call the shelter 423-626-2686 M-F between 10-2:00.

Monument and a Parking Lot?
Late last summer, a beautiful monument was donated to the shelter by the Reece Monument Company. Early this fall, Mike Reece made a further donation by paving the parking lot in front of the shelter. To say we are delighted with this amazing gift is an understatement. Thank you, Mike, for all you have done for us!
The parking lot in front of the shelter was leveled in preparation for the black top.

DeRoyal Gives Back to Community
The shelter was in desperate need of surgical supplies for our spay & neuter clinic. We called upon the goodness of local company, DeRoyal Industries. They responded with the generosity and community spirit for which they are known. Thank you, DeRoyal, for being there for us!

Woodlake Golf & Country Club recently sponsored a shelter night in their new full-service lounge. A special "shelter drink" was offered and a portion of the proceeds were donated to help our cause. Thanks to the folks at Woodlake for thinking of us!

First an anonymous donor sent us money to replace our stolen washer and dryer. Then the Whirlpool company worked with another anonymous shelter supporter to get us the largest capacity non-commercial washer and dryer they manufacture. The result? Clean towels and blankets just in time for our second spay & neuter clinic.
New washer & dryer arrived at the shelter just in the nick of time!
_____________
Anonymous donor saves the day!
A generous shelter supporter who wishes to remain anonymous, has donated the full amount to replace the washer and dryer that were stolen from the shelter during a recent break-in. We are thrilled beyond belief by the kindness shown by this person. Thank you very much!

Break In at Shelter
Thieves broke into the shelter and took a commercial sized front-loader washer and dryer set and several boxes of hypodermic needles. The value of the stolen items is over $2000. Ashley Hurley of the Claiborne Progress provides details in this story.
